Centre for Health Economics and Development (CHECOD) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization created in 2010 by a group of African multidisciplinary professionals. The Centre was created to promote greater and more effective utilization of indigenous health professionals in national development and to develop capabilities in health economics in the region. Between establishment in 2010 and the end of implementation of the first strategic plan (2011-2016), the Centre made notable imprints in the health financing policy and planning landscape in Nigeria.
Our Trainee Associate Program at CHECOD offers recent graduates professional experience in health economics and financing, priority setting, health policy and planning, and other areas of CHECOD’s core competencies. This career development program is for 12 months and is an entry-point for a career at CHECOD.
The Program has four main components
Three to Four trainee positions are available.
This is an entry-level role so previous work experience is not required. However, all applicants must have a bachelor’s in a relevant area, completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), have strong command of English language, and are able to learn new concepts and find data or information from web resources. We may favour applicants who graduated with a first class, distinction, or other equivalent grades at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
