Intern – Operations: Lagos

The Role

• The intern will support the Operations team, assisting in the efficient and effective delivery of procurement services and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating Request for Quotation (RFQ) templates, sending out the RFQs to vendors/suppliers to get prices
• Searching and engaging new suppliers and qualifying them using GLP approved requirements
• Using price comparison and other qualitative factors such as delivery times and quality to select winning suppliers, to ensure GLP is getting the best price for the best quality goods at the right time.
• Issuing Purchase Orders (PO) for products and services to selected vendors
• Creating and maintaining reports reflecting recurring purchases as well as the prices
• Keeping abreast of changes in the market that could affect the pricing of goods and services. This should be well documented and communicated to internal stakeholders.
• Collecting invoice from vendor after confirming all goods or services have been delivered to meet quality expectations or Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Processing vendor payment with finance

Requirements
The ideal Operations Intern:

• Has effective communication and negotiation skills
• Possesses intuitive skills; knows when to initiate a backup supplier
• Is able to make quick and objective decisions
• Has excellent computer skills: Excel, Word e.t.c.

Customer Service Executive: Lagos

Reporting to: Call Center Manager

Job Description

• The Customer Service Executive will work closely with the Operations and Sales teams to serve existing and potential customers by providing product and service information while resolving product issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiates and/or implements corrective action as needed in order to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained
• Receive customer queries and ensure these are resolved in a timely manner
• Help minimize defaults by reaching out to customers with delayed payments
• Proactively contact dormant customers directly to resolve any pending issues.
• Build repeat sales through strong customer relationships by focusing on customers’ wants and needs.
• Check customer satisfaction degree after a sale and increase customer retention.
• Gather and document information about the customer and the product.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain Management; Business Administration; Sales and Marketing; or Customer Service Management
• 2 years relevant work experience in a similar role is an added advantage

Desired Characteristics:

• Must work well under pressure, be able to juggle many tasks simultaneously, with an excellent sense of prioritisation
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English and two major Nigerian local dialect (Hausa and Yoruba)
• Excellent grasp over Microsoft Office Applications with database management experience
• Clear thinking/problem solving ability
• Strong etiquette in communication over the phone with good listening skills.
• Should be flexible, willing to stretch and achieve over and above base expectations.
