Purpose of role

• Drive leadership in the development of solid Digital Marketing channels across our brands with constant innovation leading to brilliant execution and overall marketing excellence.

Top Accountabilities
Media Management:

• Develop strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audience as effectively as possible (Connection led Creative)
• Financial acumen – Ensure that there is effectiveness and efficiency of Media & Digital A&P spend, through efficient monthly spend tracking.

Digital Management:

• Lead Digital Marketing compliance agenda across the business. Ensure that all our websites & social media accounts follow the Diageo Digital Code Compliance guidelines.
• Develop and execute a plan to close brand team capability gaps in the area of digital marketing:
  • Provide training to brand teams including sharing best practice, rolling out new tools.
  • Provide training to agency partners
• Develop and drive, with commitment and participation from key stakeholders and markets, the digital marketing strategies including:
  • Re-application of best practice
  • Idea generation and evaluation tools and processes
• Primarily responsible for managing the relationship with agencies in respect to Digital marketing:
  • Ensure all agency partners deliver regular reports as detailed in service level agreements (SLA’s)
  • Ensure delivered reports are up to standard.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and indicate opportunities for digital innovation (partnerships, new platforms) within the market

Leadership Responsibilities:

• A motivated and engaged individual to develop a deep understanding of the market and digital landscape from the consumer perspective and from the environment in which different channels are consumed to the cause and effect of media on consumers.
• As a result, this should drive first class thought leadership in the development of digital marketing and lead brand teams to deliver creative excellence in the Digital space.
• Embed clear frameworks and guidelines for Digital marketing, ensuring that there is compliance with the Diageo Digital Code across.
• Establishment of processes, tools and ways of working for collaboration with regional brand teams, in-market marketing teams in creative development.
• Inspire and motivate agencies to deliver great creative work – you will be working with a full breadth of agencies: creative, media agencies and PR.
• Work with in-market teams to ensure their commitment and engagement in the digital plans, in order to deliver flawless execution.
• Be a brilliant team player.
• Interface regularly with the Global Brand teams and Diageo Africa team as required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business related field.
• Proven experience of Digital marketing strategy development and implementation (minimum 3 years)
• Ability to work under own initiative/ pro-activity
• Proven and strong Brand/ Communications experience

Experience:

• Can demonstrate excellent commercial judgement and acumen.
• Hands-on experience with Facebook Business Manager, Ads Manager, Twitter Ads Manager, Google Adwords and Google Analytics
• Experience of working on Digital activation platforms and understanding of Execution standards required for the demanding consumer.

Customs and Excise Analyst – Ref Id: JR1029442: Ikeja, Lagos

Purpose

• Provide proactive, high quality specialist global trade & excise governance support to the Regional Head of Global Trade to ensure the effective management of Diageo’s global trade affairs within the (X) Region. Apply and execute Global CoE strategies and policies to manage and mitigate key risks.

Accountabilities

• Implement global Center of Excellence (CoE) strategies, policies, guidelines  and standards for customs & excise management in Region
• Provide specialist regional support to the Head of Regional CoE Compliance for all customs and excise issues
• Participate in global trade projects to deliver shareholder value/manage potential exposures
• Proactively support the delivery of the Global Trade CoE objectives aiming to standardize and simplify processes and procedures
• Keep up to date with customs and excise regulatory changes and best practice; identify risks and opportunities and recommend actions
• Ensure  timely  resolution  of  queries  from  tax  authorities,  markets or DEO
• Ensure there are the correct licences, approvals in place for any operational changes

Qualifications / Experience

• Good experience and working knowledge of customs and excise processes and procedures in a global multinational
• Experience in dealing with enquiries and audits from customs and excise authorities
• Experience in providing domestic and cross border technical advice

Context/Scope

• The Lagos and Benin Breweries produce 1.5 to 1.6 million hectolitres each of various Guinness products per annum and package these products for the local, national and export markets.
• GNPLC is striving towards world class and to be the Number 1 Alcoholic Drinks Company in Nigeria. The company is investing huge resources into: growing production and sales volumes, continuous improvement of their operations, training and development of their staff (CAP) and capital for the latest technology.
• The Electrical Technician Automation are responsible for operating, cleaning and maintaining their plant and equipment to meet the increasing volume and quality demands in a reliable and cost efficient manner. They are also responsible for participating in all PPMS/EISC improvement initiatives in their department and for their own training and development. They will report to the Automation Engineer Packaging

Purpose of Role

• To maintain (inspect and adjust) and repair line equipment proactively as per maintenance targets in order to continually improve line efficiency, to optimize equipment availability and to minimize losses and risk.
• To apply technical, process, continuous improvement and individual/team development skills to optimise overall brewery improvement and plant performance.

Top Accountabilities

• Provide a comprehensive production service on plant and equipment to which they are primarily allocated: operating and cleaning, carrying out maintenance schedules, responding to breakdowns, assessing & monitoring plant performance on an ongoing basis and attending to all other process duties in a timely manner
• Deliver best possible plant operation by maximising plant availability and efficiency of operation through execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules.
• Optimise product quality, through continuous observation and attention to detail, delivering RFT on quality and control parameters.
• Respond to non-conformances in a timely manner to keep process on track.
• Apply, record & share learning’s to prevent re-occurrence Manage spares required by their plant and equipment – includes draw down stock from locally provided “bins” and be accountable for whatever stock is drawn down.
• Technicians will demonstrate flexibility in terms of availability, attitude and work practices, and assist colleagues in breakdowns, maintenance and solving problems on their equipment.
• Support site in ensuring power systems and lightening controls and maintenance
• Share and apply new skills as acquired, participate in departmental Continuous Improvement initiatives and PPMS/EISC to meet/exceed improvement targets.
• Consider general opportunities to improve work areas.
• Compile and communicate whatever reports are required – either original reports or those generated automatically. This includes status sheets, check sheets, condition monitoring sheets, etc.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• OND/HND/BSc in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering and others as applicable or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience/competence in motor controls and lightening maintenance. Performance Measurement in a brewery or drinks or food manufacturing environment especially in power generating environment
• Proven skills and experience in Bottling principles and processes, SHE principles and procedures, electrical control principles and ability  to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Demonstrate understanding of teamwork principles, continuous improvement, preventative maintenance and problem solving
• Demonstrate detailed understanding of Permit to Work system and GNPLC SHE policies, statutory requirements and responsibilities.
• High level of energy and commitment to team based achievement and high interpersonal effectiveness to develop & sustain robust relationships.
